river view gem
uphill location tagus view walkable distance friendly area
the location is a sharp walk uphill from santa apolonia station. i found the view across the tagus from my room wiped out all weariness. alfama and the city centre were an easy walking distance. i did not need to use the communal areas but they looked comfortable and friendly.
the bathroom was a bit cramped. it made showering a little difficult, though manageable. i didn't mind too much given all the positives.

the hotel is next to feira da ladra, perfect for exploring alfama. there are plenty of cafés, shops, and restaurants nearby. atm's and grocery stores are also conveniently located just outside the door.
